Shayne started his career fresh out of high school at the prompting of his grandfather who was then retired after 33 years at Pan Am. From 1981 to 1998 he worked assembling and balancing jet engines that fly on 707's, DC-8's, DC-9, MD-80, MD-88, 727's, and 737's as well as ground power units for electric companies and unattended oil rigs. Shayne moved to central Florida in 1998 and began a new phase in aviation, Rotax... From 1999 to present, he has been servicing the complete Rotax Aviation line, learning a lot through a tenure at Lockwood Aviation. Currently Shayne holds credentials as an Rotax I.R.M.T and A&P certificate.

The Light-Sport Rule Establishes a New Repairman Certificate with Two Ratings (Ref: 14 CFR §65.107) Inspection and Maintenance

The Repairman Light Sport Aircraft-Maintenance Rating will allow you to perform 100 hour and Annual Conditional inspections on Special and Experimental Light Sport Aircraft.
